According to a recent declaration from Anemoi Marine Technologies, a prominent player in wind propulsion innovations, the company has inaugurated its new Rotor Sail production facility in China. this significant step not onyl boosts Anemoi’s manufacturing prowess but also highlights its dedication to facilitating the maritime sector’s shift towards zero emissions.

Nestled along the Yangtze River in jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, this facility is strategically positioned within Daming Heavy industry’s manufacturing hub. Its prime location offers direct access to port facilities, ensuring smooth logistics for shipping and receiving goods. With barge transport available right at the site, Rotor Sails can be efficiently moved and installed at nearby shipyards—this approach minimizes both operational delays and environmental impact.

Clare urmston,CEO of Anemoi, expressed enthusiasm about this development: “This isn’t just another production site; it’s an all-in-one hub where we manage everything from steel fabrication to thorough testing under one roof. This setup allows us to ensure top-notch quality while speeding up our processes.”

Anemoi has been active in China sence 2018 when it launched its pilot project and later established ANEMOI Marine Technologies (Changzhou) Co., Ltd.in 2021.Over time, they have forged strong partnerships with key players like CRRC Qishuyan Institute Co., Ltd., which is part of CRRC—the world leader in rail transit equipment manufacturing.Their collaboration spans various aspects of production and technical services aimed at enhancing efficiency across their operations.

The newly built facility serves as an advanced platform for both manufacturing and testing Rotor Sails before they reach customers—this proactive approach reduces risks during installation on vessels. It accommodates various Deployment Systems including Fixed, Folding, and Rail types.this partnership not only broadens Anemoi’s industrial presence but also integrates China’s high-speed rail quality standards into their products—a win-win situation that aligns with CRRC Qishuyan Institute’s focus on combining high-end transportation with clean energy solutions.

Mr. Fang jun from CRRC changzhou Tech-Mark Industrial Co., ltd remarked on this collaboration: “We’re excited about this project as it showcases how international teamwork can lead to innovative solutions that benefit everyone involved.”

Additionally,Anemoi has teamed up with Lianyungang Zhongfu Lianzhong Composite Material Group Co., Ltd.—a leading manufacturer known for producing wind turbine blades—to create composite rotor skins using a patented filament winding process unique to Anemoi. This technique enhances strength and durability essential for demanding cargo operations while ensuring uniformity across products.

Ms. Xu Xiuming from zhongfu shared her pride in contributing to decarbonization efforts within the shipping industry through their ongoing partnership as 2020.

Moreover, by collaborating exclusively with Daming Heavy Industries—renowned for precision steel fabrication—Anemoi solidifies its market position while maintaining consistent product quality amidst rising global demand for wind-assisted propulsion systems.

Mr. Ren Lei from Daming emphasized their shared commitment: “Our alliance reflects our dedication to delivering safe and efficient services promptly while supporting Anemoi’s vision of sustainable maritime practices.”

With an remarkable annual output capacity of 250 Rotor Sails—and room for expansion—the new facility positions Anemoi well ahead of increasing global demands while aiding clients’ decarbonization objectives effectively.

Nick Contopoulos, Chief Commercial Officer at Anemoi added: “Establishing ourselves here strengthens existing partnerships while opening doors for new ones; achieving zero emissions requires innovative thinking alongside collaborative efforts.”
