Schroders names Jamie Fowler as new UK wealth head

Schroders has named Jamie Fowler as the new head of UK Wealth within its asset management division.
Fowler, who has been with the company for over two decades, will now oversee the firm’s services to intermediary investors across the UK’s wealth management sector, including advisers, wealth managers, family offices, and discretionary investors.

Schroders offers a comprehensive range of products for these investors, such as unit trusts, OEICS, investment trusts, model portfolios, and sub-advised mandates, covering all major asset classes.
At Schroders, Fowler most recent role was head of Regional and Advisory Sales.
He said: “I am excited to take on this new role. During my 20 years at Schroders, I have been privileged to be part of the evolution and growth of the business, including the launch of Schroders Investment Solutions and, more recently, the launch of our first wealth-focused LTAF in the UK.
“I look forward to leading our talented team as we strive for continued success and growth.”

Middleton said: “Jamie brings significant knowledge and experience alongside a proven track-record of delivering the best outcomes for a diverse range of clients. His industry expertise and in-depth understanding of Schroders makes him well-placed to lead our UK wealth business.
“Jamie’s appointment is a great example of our ability to nurture and grow our existing talent – something that we pride ourselves on.”
Founded in 1804, Schroders managed assets worth £778.7bn ($975.3bn) as of 31 December 2024.
As a FTSE100 listed company, Schroders has a market capitalisation of around £6bn and employs over 6,000 individuals across 38 locations worldwide.
It operates through four core business divisions: Public Markets, Solutions, Wealth Management, and Schroders Capital that specialises in private markets.
Last month, Schroders reportedly shed jobs at its wholly-owned China fund management unit, Schroder Investment Management China (SIMC).
