Bibby Financial Services appoints strategic IT director

UK-based financier Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has appointed Daniel Johnson as its new strategic IT director.
The announcement is part of BFS’s growth strategy to bolster its support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by integrating advanced technology solutions.

Johnson brings more than 14 years of experience in banking, fintech, insurance, and consulting to his new role.
Before joining BFS, Johnson was the founder and director of Future Workforce, a consultancy focused on AI, process automation, low-code, and data analytics.
In addition, he has held senior IT and automation roles at Accenture, Close Brothers, and The Co-operative Banking Group.
The news comes after last month’s appointment of Mark Holloway as BFS’ newest chief information and technology officer.

By GlobalDataDuring the same month, the company also appointed Niels Gooch as head of sales for its Bibby Foreign Exchange (BFX) division to expand support for UK SMEs engaged in international trade.
