The achievement highlights the brand’s swift ascent in the competitive café industry. Established in 2015, it has become one of India’s most rapidly expanding café chains and in June 2024 unveiled its plan to open 50 new stores.

The latest cafés are strategically placed in residential areas and major transit points, as well as bolstering its presence in core city markets.

A key addition is an outlet on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, marking the brand’s venture into travel-oriented formats.

It also builds on its expansion into newer cities such as Chennai and Mysuru, which was initiated in 2024.

The brand’s growth supports its FY26 ambition to open more than 100 additional outlets.

Its approach focuses on maintaining profitability alongside expansion in varied settings such as residential zones, business districts and travel corridors to deliver a uniform customer experience.

Third Wave Coffee CEO Rajat Luthra stated: “Over the last few years, our focus has been on building a business that scales sustainably — with a sharp focus on store-level profitability, operational efficiency and capital discipline.

“In 2024, we also commissioned a new roastery with eight times the automation capability, significantly enhancing our capacity to support up to 700 stores. These efforts have led to stronger store-level ROI [return on investment] and a more disciplined, scaleable growth model.”

“We’re focused on meeting our consumers where they are, with the same consistent experience they expect from us. We’d love to bring Third Wave Coffee to more neighbourhoods and are always open to hearing from our community.”
