Ocean Infinity launches advanced NeedleFish USV

Ocean Infinity has officially launched its cutting-edge NeedleFish Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) in partnership with the Kuwaiti Coast Guard, marking a major step forward in Kuwait’s maritime surveillance capabilities.

The NeedleFish is a key component of Kuwait’s new national integrated maritime surveillance system, developed in collaboration with SRT Marine Systems. Purpose-built for the Kuwaiti Coast Guard, the USV is outfitted with a suite of advanced maritime surveillance sensors and leverages Ocean Infinity’s expertise in autonomous systems, marine intelligence, and high-performance robotics.

Operating fully autonomously and controlled from new purpose-built command centres onshore, the NeedleFish will patrol Kuwait’s 11,000 km² of territorial waters. The system is seamlessly integrated into the new SRT C5iSR maritime surveillance network, providing real-time data and live-streamed surveillance for enhanced coastal security.
