GXO and Sky Italia team up

GXO Logistics has entered into a multi-year partnership with Sky Italia to manage supply chain operations and strategic value-added services across the country. The agreement focuses on handling Sky’s core products, along with branded merchandising tied to the company’s TV programming.

Operations will be based out of GXO’s warehouse in Colleferro, just outside Rome, a 30,000-square-meter facility that has been active since 2010. The site includes 7,000 square meters specifically dedicated to storing more than one million Sky products.

”Our long-standing presence in the greater area of Rome has allowed us to offer Sky the best possible operational solution, as well as the implementation of the direct staffing model,” said Alessandro Renzo, Managing Director, GXO Italy and Switzerland.

GXO staff will manage not only warehouse logistics and product returns, but also critical value-added activities such as quality control checks on Sky hardware and software. Dedicated IT stations within the facility allow for pre-shipment testing to ensure devices are fully operational before reaching customers.

”We were looking for a site that was central to the Italian perimeter and scalable and the Colleferro site proved to be perfect for our needs,” commented Luigi Manzoli, Supply Chain Director, Sky.
