Brullo Group adds second advanced tanker from China

The Italian Brullo Group is accelerating its fleet expansion with the purchase of a second high-tech chemical/oil tanker. Less than seven months after receiving Primo M, the company has taken delivery of Ginostra M, built by Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding Co. in China.
Ginostra M measures 149 meters and has a deadweight of 18,590 tons. She has just begun her maiden voyage and will enter a time charter with a major international oil company in the Mediterranean.

The vessel is dual-fuel methanol-ready and equipped with advanced propulsion systems. Compared to a similar ship built five years ago, she can cut fuel consumption by half while meeting strict international emissions standards. Ginostra M is certified to operate in Emission Control Areas (ECAs) in Northern Europe, the U.S., and the Mediterranean. She also features shore power connections for emissions-free operations while in port.

With a fleet of 18 vessels, the Brullo Group maintains strong relationships with major operators and long-term charter agreements. Despite challenges compared to other European flags, the company continues to sail under the Italian flag.
“Our financial restructuring allows us to accelerate fleet renewal,” said Raffaele and Gabriele Brullo. “We aim to complete a full fleet upgrade within five years, reflecting the trust charterers place in our reliability.”
