Chapman Freeborn appoints Saska Gerasimova as new Group CEO

Chapman Freeborn, a leading global air charter specialist, has appointed Saska Gerasimova as its new Group CEO, effective October 20. She succeeds Eric Erbacher, who transitions to a new role as Chair of the Chapman Freeborn Holdings Board of Directors.

This leadership change marks a transformative milestone for Chapman Freeborn, underscoring the company’s commitment to strategic renewal, customer focus, and global growth.

Gerasimova brings extensive experience across aviation leasing, air freight, logistics, and fleet management. She joins from Amazon Air Europe, where she served as Senior Supply Chain Manager, and previously held roles as Fleet Director and Leasing Manager at Smartwings Group.

“Chapman Freeborn has a strong long-term strategy built around our 2030 plan,” said Saska Gerasimova, incoming Group CEO. “Our focus will remain on customers, operational excellence, and market expansion. I look forward to engaging closely with our regional teams and clients to ensure our services continue to meet evolving needs.”

In her new role, Gerasimova will lead Chapman Freeborn’s global operations, working closely with the Executive Committee to drive the next phase of growth and innovation.

Outgoing CEO Eric Erbacher, who led the company for over five years, will now serve as Chair of the Chapman Freeborn Holdings Board of Directors.

Group COO Bernardo Nunes will assume additional legal directorship responsibilities across the company’s subsidiaries to ensure a seamless transition. Russi Batliwala will continue as a member of the Board of Directors, providing continuity and strategic guidance.
