Konecranes launches X-series crane and S-series hoist in Australia

Konecranes has launched its new X-series crane and S-series low headroom hoist in Australia at its Smithfield facility. The launch follows the full rollout of the X-series in EMEA and phased introductions in other regions. Customers and partners attended to see the advanced lifting solutions designed for safety, efficiency, and performance.

The X-series crane is compact, safe, and reliable. Paired with the S-series hoist, it handles loads up to 20 tonnes with smooth, precise control. TRUCONNECT remote monitoring provides real-time insights, helping customers plan maintenance, ensure operator safety, and boost productivity. The crane supports future over-the-air software updates without hardware changes.

The S-series hoist is low headroom and compact, offering smooth lifting and flexible rope options—synthetic or steel. Smart Features like Hook Centering, Follow Me, and Snag Prevention enhance safety and productivity. A trolley-mounted safety light alerts nearby personnel to crane movement.

Konecranes emphasizes sustainability. The X-series uses efficient motors, synthetic rope, belt drives, and thrust rockers to reduce wear, maintenance, and energy waste. The inverter lifting technology controls motor speed precisely, minimizing energy consumption. The Design for Environment approach guides the product lifecycle.

James Dowe, VP Industrial Service and Equipment, Pacific Region, said: “Australia sets high standards for safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The X-series and S-series hoist give our customers more intelligence, control, and long-term value.”
