Contships Logistics completes senior unsecured bond tap

Contships Logistics Corp., the world’s largest independent owner of container feeder vessels, has successfully completed a USD 25 million tap issue of its outstanding senior unsecured sustainability-linked bond due 11 February 2030.

The company operates a specialised fleet focused on vessels between 900 TEU and 2,000 TEU and currently has 32 container feeder vessels in operation.

The tap issue was priced at 102.75 percent of par and was initiated following a reverse inquiry from investors. Net proceeds from the transaction will be used for general corporate purposes across the group.

Following completion of the tap issue, the total outstanding amount of the senior unsecured sustainability-linked bond has increased to USD 200 million.

The successful transaction highlights continued investor confidence in Contships Logistics’ business model, fleet strategy and long-term positioning within the container feeder segment, as well as growing interest in sustainability-linked financing within the maritime industry.
