OCEAN Alliance marks 10 years with launch of “Day 10 Product”

CMA CGM, COSCO SHIPPING, Evergreen Line, and OOCL have officially launched the OCEAN Alliance “Day 10 Product”, marking 10 years of collaboration and strengthening the world’s largest operational liner shipping network.

With 41 weekly service loops, nearly 390–394 vessels, and 5.2–5.3 million TEUs of deployed capacity, the Day 10 Product is the most comprehensive alliance network ever created. It connects Asia with Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and North America’s East and West Coasts, while maintaining flexibility to respond to geopolitical and market conditions.

The Alliance agreement has been extended until at least 2032, reaffirming long-term stability for global trade.

Unmatched Global Coverage

The Day 10 Product operates across the world’s key East–West trade lanes:

Core Network Scale

  • 41 weekly services

  • 520+ direct port pairs

  • ~394 container vessels

  • Total capacity: 5.3 million TEUs

  • 130 vessels operated by CMA CGM alone

Flexible Routing in Uncertain Geopolitical Conditions

Due to Red Sea instability, vessels currently sail via the Cape of Good Hope.
For each major lane, a Suez Canal version is ready for rapid reactivation when conditions allow.

This dual-routing structure protects service reliability while keeping transit times optimized.

Asia – Northern Europe: Industry’s Most Comprehensive Product

The Asia–Northern Europe trade offers the broadest port coverage in the industry, supported by hub ports such as:

  • Zeebrugge

  • Rotterdam

  • Gdansk

  • Hamburg

  • Felixstowe

This “Diamond Line” network connects over 70 ports across 30+ countries, including the Baltic, Black Sea, North Africa, Mediterranean and Ireland.

Asia – Mediterranean & Black Sea

Four services link Asia with the Western Med, Eastern Med, Adriatic and Turkey.
Piraeus serves as a key hub, integrating feeder networks and land-sea corridors into Central and Eastern Europe.

Transpacific Network: 22 Services

The Day 10 Product offers the industry’s largest transpacific network:

  • 9 Pacific Southwest services

  • 5 Pacific Northwest services

  • 8 U.S. East Coast & Gulf services

New direct connections from Cai Mep, Yangpu, Port Kelang, and Haiphong strengthen Southeast Asia–North America e-commerce corridors.

Middle East & Red Sea

  • 3–4 Far East–Middle East loops connect Asia with Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Hamad and Umm Qasr.

  • A new MEX6 service links Yangpu and Abu Dhabi, supported by feeder networks across the Gulf.

  • Red Sea direct services remain suspended, replaced by transshipment and multimodal solutions to maintain cargo flow.

Transatlantic Expansion

Six transatlantic services connect:

  • North Europe ↔ U.S. East Coast

  • Mediterranean ↔ U.S. East Coast

  • U.S. Gulf & Mexico ↔ Europe

These routes exceed 100 direct port pairs and integrate with regional feeder systems.

Commitment to Sustainability

CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen and OOCL reaffirm their commitment to Net Zero Carbon by 2050.

CMA CGM alone will operate ~200 low-carbon capable container ships by 2031, many already deployed within the OCEAN Alliance.

A Decade of Stability, A Future of Growth

Since 2017, OCEAN Alliance has become the largest operational liner shipping network in the world.
The Day 10 Product represents its most advanced phase yet, delivering:

  • Greater reliability

  • Wider port access

  • Optimized transit times

  • Lower emissions

  • Long-term network stability through 2032 and beyond

Together, CMA CGM, COSCO SHIPPING, Evergreen and OOCL continue to shape the future of global container shipping.
