Belfast maritime design and applied technologies company, Artemis Technologies, inked a memorandum of understanding with Delta Marine to manufacture eFoiler® vessels specifically for Washington’s Puget Sound.

Specifically, Artemis Technologies will work alongside Delta Marine to meet the growing demand for zero-emission ferries, including smaller vessels ideal for high-speed, short-haul routes.

Washington State, with more ferries than any other region in the U.S., is under increasing pressure to transition to cleaner, more efficient models as public interest in sustainable transportation rises.

To remind, Artemis Technologies is a clean maritime technology company developing commercial vessels which produce, as the company claims, zero emissions in operation.

On the other hand, Delta Marine is based in Washington State, home to the US largest fleet of passenger ferries.

This update follows on from an earlier announcement to supply 20 of its cutting-edge hydrofoil vessels to Miami-based transport expert, Urbanlink.

In 2024, Artemis Technologies opened a new office in Brooklyn, further cementing its presence
