GreenH making strides in developing green hydrogen projects
Taking the next step in the development of green hydrogen hubs, Norwegian company GreenH has selected compatriot Nel ASA as the technology provider for its projects in Kristiansund and Slagentangen.

Following the investment decision for the hydrogen plant in Bodø earlier this year, the hydrogen producer announced that the requirements set by Enova for the support allocation to the projects at Vestbase in Kristiansund and Slagentangen outside Tønsberg had been fulfilled, enabling all three projects to proceed as planned.
In November 2024, the Norwegian company was awarded NOK 391 million (around $38.3 million) in support from Enova for its hydrogen projects, including NOK 129 million ($12.6 million) for the plant in Bodø, which is already under construction.
At Vestbase in Kristiansund, GreenH, together with NorSea, is developing a facility for the direct bunkering of hydrogen to ships. At Slagentangen outside Tønsberg, the company is collaborating with Grieg New Energy on the production of green hydrogen in the Oslofjord.
The company said on November 7 that the Board had made a final investment decision (FID) to develop a green hydrogen plant at Slagentangen, outside Tønsberg.
