Fincantieri Partners with Enra Energy Solutions for Innovative Strategic Alliance

At the ongoing Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), Fincantieri joined forces with Enra Energy Solutions (EES) to ink a Technical Collaboration Agreement aimed at bolstering the Royal Malaysian navy’s enterprising “15 to 5” fleet renewal initiative. This significant event was witnessed by Malaysia’s Defense Minister, H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, alongside Italy’s Undersecretary of State for Defence, Hon. Matteo perego di Cremnago. The agreement was officially signed by Biagio Mazzotta, Chairman of Fincantieri, and Ikhlas Zainal, CEO of EES.
This collaboration is a major leap forward in enhancing Malaysia’s naval capabilities while promoting local industrial involvement. The partnership will focus on delivering cutting-edge naval vessels such as multi Role Support Ships and the third batch of Littoral Mission Ships—designed to boost operational readiness in an ever-changing security surroundings.
