Russian research ship Akademik Tryoshnikov completes Antarctic expedition
The ship's recently concluded Antarctic expedition is part of a Russian-Brazilian project organised by the AARI and the Polar and Climate Centre of the Institute of Geosciences of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.
The scientific team embarked on Akademik Tryoshnikov consisted of approximately 60 personnel from Russia, China, India, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. The multinational team spent two months in Antarctica, where they closely studied the various ecosystems found on the continent.
