EY names Ruslan Khoroshvili managing partner in Uzbekistan

Accounting giant EY has appointed Ruslan Khoroshvili as its managing partner in Uzbekistan, effective 1 July 2025.
The appointment highlights Uzbekistan’s strategic value to the accounting firm, and demonstrates the “growing interest” in this “dynamically developing” market, according to the company’s press statement.
EY managing partner in Caucasus and Central Asia Erlan Dosymbekov said: “As the fastest-growing region today, Central Asia presents unique opportunities for business. The average projected GDP growth in the region for 2025 is estimated at around 5%.
“These figures highlight the dynamic development of the region and its attractiveness for international investments.
“I am confident that Ruslan’s experience and deep understanding of the regional context will be a strong driver for the further development of our practice in Uzbekistan and for strengthening EY’s position in the market.”
Khoroshvili holds more than 25 years of expertise in auditing, energy, and finance, the accounting major said.

His tenure in Georgia has been characterised by notable successes and a commitment to innovation, the company added.
Khoroshvili commenced his professional journey in 1999 at Georgian Consulting Group and became part of EY in 2003.
Khoroshvili said: “Based on the recent economic growth figures, Uzbekistan is entering a pivotal stage of market development. This acceleration reflects the growing trust from investors, the expansion of industries, and the strengthening of regional integration.
“Uzbekistan is becoming an important centre for international investments, creating significant demand for transparency and trust in financial reporting.
“As the head of the office, I am convinced that our services will play a vital role in supporting this growth by helping businesses strengthen corporate governance, ensure compliance, and enhance trust among all stakeholders in a dynamically evolving economy.”
