Chimbusco to offer B30 biofuel supply in Hong Kong
Chimbusco Pan Nation Petro-Chemical (CPN) on 14 April announced that it has commenced supply of B30 biofuel in Hong Kong.
Approved by the IMO MEPC 83, the new regulatory framework now allows conventional Type I barges to carry biofuel blends of up to 30% (B30). Following to this announcement, Chimbusco announced that the company has commenced B30 bunkering services across Hong Kong’s waters.
Furthermore, the company stated that the new bunker service is a significant step forward in supporting greener shipping and a more sustainable maritime industry.

To remind, recently the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) also announced an increase in the allowable biofuel blend for Singapore-registered bunker ships, raising the limit from B25 to B30, which took effect on 7 March 2025.
