Mercurius Shipping's new inland chemical tanker to head to Netherlands for outfitting
The hull will soon be transported to the Netherlands for final outfitting at Mercurius Shipbuilding's facilities.
The completed tanker will have a length of 135 metres and 18 tanks that can accommodate up to 300 different kinds of liquid cargo. The tanks will be fully integrated into the hull, which was built to possess improved resistance to corrosion.
Construction of the new chemical tanker is being undertaken in compliance with Lloyd's Register class rules. Once in operation, it will be one of the largest vessels of its kind to be operated in Europe's inland waters.
