Construction underway on new automated terminal at Shanghai Port

Completion of wharf construction in this area is expected to expand the port's land coverage by 6,100 metres.

About 5,500 metres of the additional coverage will be allocated for a new container terminal along with seven berths for 70,000DWT vessels and 15 berths for 20,000DWT vessels. The new facility will have a projected annual throughput of 11.6 million TEUs.
