According to a recent proclamation, DEA Aviation, a leader in aerial data technology, has launched a new office in Lincoln, celebrated by local MP Hamish Falconer.

This cutting-edge facility aims to bolster the research and development of vital technologies that will enhance DEA’s intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. Expanding from its base in Retford into Lincolnshire marks an significant step for the company within the Greater Lincolnshire Defense and Security cluster as it pursues aspiring growth plans.

DEA specializes in advanced solutions for aerial mapping and environmental surveys. the new hub will focus on integrating state-of-the-art sensors and image capture technologies while improving their ability to analyze and share data effectively with clients both domestically and internationally. After securing funding through UK Government initiatives via UK Export Finance loans,DEA is well-positioned to accelerate its innovative capabilities to meet evolving customer demands.

Hamish Falconer attended the opening ceremony today as Labor MP for Lincoln and under-Secretary of state at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. He expressed his enthusiasm: “It was fantastic to be part of DEA Aviation’s new office launch today. This investment reflects our city’s potential while showcasing the growing strength of Lincoln’s tech scene.”

“The innovations coming from DEA in aerial intelligence are precisely what I want to champion—creating skilled jobs,fresh opportunities,and enduring growth for our community,” he added eagerly.

Gerald Cooper,CEO of DEA Aviation remarked on this significant milestone: “Establishing our presence in Lincoln is an exciting advancement for us. We currently employ over 230 talented technicians, pilots, and software engineers—and we’re eager to expand that number with new positions at this location.”

“The Greater Lincolnshire Vision for Growth emphasizes fostering technical roles locally; we wholeheartedly support this initiative,” he noted.
