Laura Ritchey Takes the Helm as President and CEO of GEODIS Americas
Citing a recent announcement from GEODIS, the global powerhouse in logistics and transportation, Laura Ritchey has been appointed as the new President & CEO for the Americas. Along with her leadership role, she will also join the Group’s Executive Board under the guidance of Marie-Christine Lombard, who serves as GEODIS’s Chief Executive Officer.
In her new position, Ritchey will be responsible for steering various business units throughout North and South america. This includes overseeing operations in contract logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation across eight countries: the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, peru, Argentina, and Brazil. With nearly 20,000 employees under her leadership in this diverse region, she has a important task ahead.
Ritchey brings over three decades of expertise to GEODIS; notably 15 years focused on supply chain management spanning both retail sectors and third-party logistics firms. She initially embarked on her career path within finance before transitioning into supply chain roles that included sourcing and strategic conversion initiatives. Most recently serving as CEO at Radial Inc., she was instrumental in driving revenue growth through operational excellence.
Before Radial Inc.,Laura held key positions at L Brands and FullBeauty Brands among others. beyond her corporate responsibilities, she’s actively involved with Goodwill Manasota in Florida and contributes to The Ohio State University’s Dean’s Advisory Council for Fisher College of Business. Her academic credentials include a J.D., an MBA along with an undergraduate degree from The ohio State University; she’s also a certified public accountant licensed to practice law in Ohio.
Ritchey takes over from Mike Honious who is retiring after three decades in supply chain roles—20 of which were spent at GEODIS itself. Honious will remain available for consultation during this transition period while continuing his involvement with both the GEODIS Foundation and Compassion Fund.
