LATAM Airlines Delivers 25,000 Tonnes of Blooms for Mother's Day Celebrations

The LATAM group’s cargo divisions have wrapped up a triumphant peak season for flower deliveries ahead of Mother’s Day, highlighting their dedication to the floriculture sector and its ties to global markets.

Over a bustling 21-day period,the group transported more than 25,000 tons of blooms from Colombia and Ecuador. This extraordinary figure marks a 4% increase from last year’s festivities.

Breaking it down,approximately 12,000 tons came from Ecuador while over 13,000 tons were shipped from Colombia. Such achievements stemmed from LATAM’s strong cargo fleet capabilities and their ability to adapt operations to meet seasonal demands.

In response to heightened demand during this festive time, LATAM ramped up its cargo flight offerings by an impressive 48%.The operation saw over 430 flights within three weeks—231 departing from Bogotá and Medellin combined with more than 200 flights taking off from Quito—connecting these stunning flowers with major markets like the U.S. and Europe.
